Hi guys (job hunters)… I am prabu g. I got placed in infosys… I just want to share my experience with you and I believe that this will help you. I had attended 15 companies before this, so infy was my 16th company to go… This is the company what I was waiting for a long time… I prepared almost 700 puzzles. I got the cal letter one day…and I believed that almost 90% I got placed… Because I know I can try all in a hard way however it is harder… I attended the written test in Bangalore… I solved 9 puzzles (including reasoning) correctly. I had worked out step by step in work sheet and I wrote each final answer in the Box in the work sheet. I was one among the hundred who got in from the first round… I attended the interview day after the very next day… I had to wait for 1hour 20 minutes outside the interview hall… so I was just Reading the magazine… Then I was called off the interview room… I entered into that… Two people were sitting there… I illustrate the conversation here for you…

Prabu: may I come in sir?

Interviewer: yes prabu, come and take your seat.

Prabu: thank you sir. (As it was a little bit stress interview and they were very fast, I could not greet them

Interviewer: how was your day prabu?

Prabu: it was nice sir.

Interviewer:ok prabu, did you speak to other candidates?

Prabu: yes sir, I spoke.

Interviewer:ok tell me what the puzzle they said as it was asked in the interview.

Prabu:one said a puzzle. That is that you get a coin that has been printed 400BC on it. Do you think or not it is a precious coin. My answer was that

As it has been printed as 400BC,that is 400 years before Christ, the people would not have known even the Christ birth. So it is impossible to then people to print such a coin….

Interviewer:ok prabu… you find the average of these two numbers (he gave me two numbers).

Prabu: I calculated without adding them and said. Method: numbers: 68 and 78. 78-68=10/2+68=73. Interviewer:ok now I give you another one number. You calculate for three numbers?

Prabu:I mistook and said the answer. Then all of sudden myself said I have mistaken and then I said the correct answer.

Method: 73(average of 68 and 78), 74(new number given). 74-73=1/3=0.333.. So average=73.33..

Interviewer: ok I give another one number. You calculate for four numbers?

Prabu:I calculated using the same method and said the correct answer.

Interviewer:ok I give another one number. You calculate for five numbers?

Prabu:I said the correct answer.

Interviewer:ok explain the approach you did to calculate the average without adding the Numbers?

Prabu: I explained step by step. Interviewer: ok you answer the questions while filling this form.

Prabu:ok sir (he gave me a form and I was answering and filling simultaneously as much as I could for a while and for few questions then they got it back. They checked my ability +attitude.)

Interviewer:ok tell me your weakness?
Prabu: In order to do the quality work, some times I will stress myself very much.

Interviewer: but this is not your weakness ok.

Prabu: no sir, as I feel we should not stress ourselves too much. But sometimes I will do That is why I said.

Interviewer:ok you tell me about your strength.

Prabu:I want to be reproductive, hard working.

Interviewer: how you are reproductive.

Prabu: if I read something, I should write something new.

Interviewer: ok tell me about your project?

Prabu:I explained my integrated web server project.

Interviewer: Already lots of webservers are there like tomcat. then why you developed Your own.

Prabu:I said the problem domain and the solution.

Interviewer: have you ever tried to sell your project?

Prabu:I said still we have to enhance it.

Interviewer: ok have you put it free of cost in net?

Prabu:I said no.

Interviewer: you have done skit. Tell me the entire concept of the skit within three Lines.

Prabu: I said.

Interviewer: you have got the first place in c debugging. Ok tell me when you learnt it.

Prabu:I said I did in the first year.

Interviewer: tell me your favorite subjects.

Prabu:I said maths, chemistry in school.

Interviewer: have you attended any interviews before this?

Prabu:I said yes. US technologies.

Interviewer: it is in kerala, right.

Prabu: yes sir but I attended it in Coimbatore off-campus.

Interviewer: what happened.

Prabu:I got disqualified in the hr round.

Interviewer:ok you tell me one good reason why you were not selected and two Remedies that you are doing.

Prabu:I had no good lingual skills at that time. So I could not expose me well at that moment.
So everyday I learn new words and I keep talking.

Interviewer:ok, do you want to ask any questions.

Prabu: how long I will be working with other projects until I am given the R&D projects To engineer.

Interviewer: he explained very neatly. Ok do you want to ask any more?

Prabu: but not now sir. Interviewer: ok.you can leave.

Prabu: thank you sir.
