   One advantage of a Symbian device over J2ME and Brew
   devices is with hardware access. Symbain has the best hardware access to the phone.

   The main advantage with Symbian Os is that it provides the user level api’s to access the system resources and properties which is not provided in j2me. The level of access has two modes, public access where in the api is avaliable to public developers and is open.
   Private accesss where in the api’s access is restricted to OEM and its partners.
